Savannah and nearby Tybee Island proved to be a wonderful long weekend visit for me and my wife. We stayed at the Westin Resort across the river from historic downtown Savannah, which proved to be a great place to photograph the waterfront and downtown skyline at night. Historic downtown Savannah is bustling with commerce and tourists. Paula Dean has certainly had a huge impact on the city with her personality and her restaurant. Tbyee Island is an older beachfront area, but the hidden gems of the lighthouse and Fort Pulaski proved to be worth the drive.
