Carnival rides provide an exciting opportunity for long-exposure images. What you gain with long-exposure images are fabulous streams of light (a.k.a. lightstreams), while the riders and the cabins/pods they sit in disappear. I also visited a carnival early in the morning, which was a little eerie but allowed for some unique images of the sunrise with silhouettes of the rides against the colorful sky.
